Hue traditional music is a special art of Hue ancient capital city. It consists of over eighty melodies of the folk music, the chamber music, and the court music - ten continuous pieces of which called "Mười bài ngự" are used for instrumental ensembles.

Beging from the Ly, Tran and early Le dynasty, Hue folk singing has been a unique combination of the folk songs and classical music which are well known during the reign of Tu Duc (1848 – 1883).
